LINCS is advertising on Seek now for Personal Carers/AINs in the Sunshine Coast area.

LINCS is looking to employ a range of Personal Carers to provide cares for a young man with a spinal injury and who requires 24hrs 7 days a week cares. The cares will take place in the client’s home near Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

In order to provide these cares, LINCS is developing a highly specialised team of personal carers who will undergo 4-6 weeks of specialised and intensive training at the Prince Alexander (PA) Hospital in Brisbane. This course is MANDATORY and is both theory and practice based. All successful applicants will be required to complete this course and be assessed by the course as competent to deliver specialised care in order to be employed with LINCS Healthcare. LINCS will provide each applicant with a wage while he/she completes the course.

On successful completion of the course, each carer will be required to work on a rotating shift of Day, Afternoon and Night hours. However, there is some flexibility of shifts with carer preferences taken into consideration. Above award rates will apply, including Penalty rates for Saturday and Sunday, Public Holidays and on-call allowances.

Carers will also be required to provide support and assistance to the client’s partner by providing her with respite and domestic assistance as required.

The carers will be working in a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinarily team including nurses, physios and occupational therapists.
